I'll see you all Friday. We will be meeting at Cedarcrest Church at 2pm and this performance will go till 5pm. Please wear Black Pants and a solid colored to the performance site, and remember to bring with you a White T-Shirt, and Black T-Shirt, as well as any other props you may need for your dramas.

October madness

Ok so We are going to begin practicing with our new drama for the Christmas production December 19th at Cedercrest Church

Also With all of us having the 22nd off for Teacher Conferences, as I said mark it on your calenders, We will be performing at a youth center in Bloomington from 3:30-5pm we will meet at the church around 2pm(time may change so stay tuned for updates) We will then head down to Oak Grove Presbyterian church 2200 W Old Shakopee Rd, Bloomington, MN 55431

Changes

We are Scrapping the last drama, and Doing a different drama. I prayerfully reconsidered the drama after concerns over it arose from a highly respected friend, and I saw it came all too close to crossing lines that I am not willing to cross. I want out group to stay pure with our dramas, and I want every action we do to glorify Christ. So I will hopefully have a new drama for you all by next tuesday.

Also the date for the Christmas Performance is December 19th at Cedarcrest Church at 9am

CHRISTMAS PROMO!

Mark it in your calenders Friday December 17th we are going to be putting on a Holiday production. It will be a lengthy one, but this will give you enough time to start planning. for it, more details on tuesday

Street Drama

Friday night the team went out to do street dramas in partnership with Street Level Ministries. I have posted the videos on Youtube, and am excited to hopefully do it again soon. Although we all earned a lot of bruises due to the constant pounding into cement, God worked and people were touched. I would like to thank Shawn Morrison for providing the photo's above s well =)

Friday, August 27th we will be performing our mimes downtown on the streets, so please come prepared. For that see the previous post for a list of mimes we will be doing =)

August Updates

• There will be no Love in Action meeting August 10th due to vacation interference.
• Auditions for Love in Action will be August 24th-25th, Black Pants, and a Solid colored Shirt are required

Testimonies Need to be done

Hey Quick reminder, we need to have our testimonies done, and ready to speak this Tuesday. 3-5 minutes.

July 10th

We will be meeting at the Church at 1pm Saturday July 10th, and driving to the coffee house in WI. This will be much different from our last one seeing as our group will be the only group performing, and the stage will be 100x's smaller =P

Our list of skits will be:

Light and Darkness Mime-This will include the whole team

Resist the Devil-Kierra and Tyler

Set Me Free Mime- This will include the whole team, and vary depending on space

Friends Tell Friends Everything-Kierra and Aziza

The Birdcage-Rebekah, Missy, Tyler, Kelly

They will be selling food, so I suggest everyone bring about $10 for meal coverage(I'm going to try and work out a system with that where we can raise support for this kind of stuff later on). and we will probably get back fairly late. The coffee house doesn't end until after 10pm, so expect to be home around 12am. See you all there.

JULY 10th!! =D

Alright its coming up quick, and I just realized we don't have any more practices, because we had 5 weeks in June, before this performance... OOPS! So I'm going to come up with a skit order this week, and you will all just to practice at home, and I shall see you July 10th.

Change can be good

Ok. I can no longer be nice and coddle, I have learned that nobody is respecting that so We will be changing A LOT. first I want to say I was rather impressed tonight with the way everyone stepped up with in the group as I gave these rules, and the level of respect I received. Lets keep that up.

So First Change. I will be bringing in new people. I will be holding tryouts, and creating a waiting list for people who would like to be actively involved in Love in Action. There are a total of 16 spots available in Love and Action. not including myself, and I intend to fill up the remaining 10 spots, But with this I will also not be afraid to cut people. If people are slacking off and not working with the team, I will ask them to step down with out hesitation. This means that those who are on the team have a higher bar, and those who are coming will have high expectations

The second change. I will more than likely need to find a closer location for myself. With the incorporation of new people, I need to allot more time into the team, and I need to have easier access to the team. So We will be moving to Brooklyn Park area with in the next few months. I know this may be a struggle for some people, but Its a waste of time for me to pick people up drive down to Bloomington and then just jump into things, I need prep time with a larger group, which has always been difficult with the time spent driving.

But with the above comes the third change, We will probably meet every Tuesday. We will get more practice, and hopefully come together and be ready every week.

I'm setting higher expectations from people, and am learning I have to lead this team. I can't treat a team like 5th graders and expect you all to step up and act like your in High school when the time comes to perform. So I'm laying it all out now, and telling you this is the new Love in Action. A solid group that WANTS to be here, and has a standard that exceeds the average drama group. I don't want people who are here just to appease me, I want people who LOVE acting, and LOVE the arts as much, if not more than I do. If that's not you, It won't hurt my feelings, I'd rather know now.

As you read this you are probably thinking, "Why is she making these changes? its fine the way it is." or something along those lines. but I'm making these changes because in 9 months, we have hardly gotten anywhere. We have been stuck in this rut, of sorts, for 9 months, and its not working. This group, to me, is not just a one year commitment. Where I go to college, and what colleges I can go to, are limited because I have made a commitment to this team, and the people on it. Where I can work, and how many hours I can work, will be limited because I have made a commitment to this team. I intend to see this team through, and grow with it, and be here still 5 years from now performing on larger scales. This is a long term commitment, and I am not wasting anymore time with mediocre, I want great, and I know we have that potential. I have seen it in short spurts amongst our team, and I now want to see it on large scales.

I love you all, and am praying for you all as you read this, and question whether you are called to this team.

Ok!

Well Our last performance went really well. People responded, with great enthusiasm. Great Job Team =) Now Our next meeting is April 11th Work on the following skits/ dramas:

We will be doing our next performance April 15th. We should all meet at the church by 8am and we will be gone ALL day. =)

Alright, Hello Everyone, I am happy to announce what is going on this week =) I daresay everyone should be scared with my plans, seeing as it will involve a lot of ability to think on ones feet, and come up with witty replies. i have MANY games planned this coming week with the intention of us getting to know each other better, and just in general test our skills and work them in an effort to grow in them.

So here's the deal, This Tuesday We will start AT 6 o'clock! I want to immediately just jump in and get going, If you are not ready at that point you will be missing on quite a bit of info which I will not repeat(hopefully this motivates you ;P ) We had a request this week to do a talent show, seeing as we have 2 new members joining our groups, and people wanted to re-do/see each others talent, so I have agreed, and I will give each person 5-7 minutes to perform any talent they want, so Please come prepared.

Drama team

I was so surprised at how well our team did despite the many issues we faced, I was so proud of them. I now see what we need to work on, and where we need to focus. But they all did so well. I wish I had recorded the performance, but unfortunately with all the craziness it was not an option. We have begun a training video I feel will help improve our skills on so many levels. I can't wait until the next meeting, Alot of fun stuff planned. Be scared team, be very scared HAHA =D

Ok two MAJOR dates are being changed... PLEASE MARK THIS!!!

January 26th There will be NO PRACTICE due to a church schedule Mix up!

and The performance on February 2nd will be changed to February 19th, same amount of time, same place, but I know we need more group practice so Hopefully this will give us time.. So PLEASE go over past scripts, new scripts and have everything down =D <3 ya'll
